Bikeability Level 1&2 - Link
The course helps children learn practical skills and understand how to cycle on today’s roads.
It starts off-road, then if all outcomes are met, progresses to the local roads for Level 2.
What you need to know…
- To take part, pupils need to be able to ride without stabilisers, pedal one handed, and look behind whilst maintaining a straight line
- They need to be appropriately dressed for the weather and bring a snack and drink in a small rucksack
- Instructors may adjust the cycle, however if they deem it not roadworthy, they may have to discontinue training
- Instructors reserve the right to stop training if the pupil's behavior is not acceptable, or if their cycling skills aren’t suitable
- We have a very limited number of fleet bikes available to loan to schools free of charge for pupils who would like to take part but do not have access to a bike, contact your school to request the bike loan form. Please note that loan cycles are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
