Child Bike Workshop & Learn
This course is recommended for children aged 9 and above
Bikeability Fix is a practical maintenance session designed to increase participation in Bikeability and support ongoing cycling by improving rider confidence and cycle safety.
The session focuses on helping riders:
- Check a cycle is safe and roadworthy
- Identify and fix minor faults
- Repair a puncture using basic tools
Duration: up to 2 hours, max 6 riders per instructor
Session Overview
- Cycle safety checks: tyres, brakes, chain (if present), handlebars, saddle fit
- Basic adjustments: within the rider’s competence
- Puncture repair: safe location, wheel removal, patching, refitting and inflation
